Hi Hawaiian Son,

nice place you are calling "home", but back to your question. As I can see from your profile, you have Hyatt Diamond status so my question to you would be why you don't consider the Grand Hyatt on Scotts Rd (right next to Orchard - ca. 200m)? Okay, it won't match the Four Seasons (my first choice) and it is only a 4-Star property, but it will also save you quite a few $$$ to spent on other things. Given your Diamond status they should give you a very nice room and be especially attenative. Maybe worth a thought.

The Shangri-La is really nice too (my number two - Valley Wing), but you already stated that you were disappointed by them once. Sad, but what can you do.

Personally, I am not so keen on the Regent although there is nothing really wrong with it. I just don't find it so overly attractive. IMHO, I would say either spent the money on the Four Seasons or save some bucks and make your status work for you at the Grand Hyatt.

Good luck bargain hunting and enjoy your stay regardless of where you end up.

Cheers, Dennis
