I would echo the
Cafe del Rey suggestion. I just had dinner there on an L.A. stopover. There is also the
Banana Factory which is just around the corner from the
Cafe del Rey.
I have also been to several eateries in Manhattan Beach while on L.A. stopovers. There is a
McCormick & Schmick restaurant there, and also a
PF Chang's. They are both right across the street from each other. There is also a sushi bar in the theater complex there next to the
PF Chang's.
