I was actually on the evening flight ex BLQ (BA545) that evening of the 8th. A Eurowings A319 and a couple of Ryanair 737s arrived late afternoon after the runway was re-opened. Our 321 in from LHR arrived and turned around relatively fast only to held on the ground with pax on board due to delays in..1. Awaiting pax (terminal and security by this stage rather mobbed) and 2. Missed slot hence "ready message" was sent when all pax on board. Delay was in excess of an hour allowing for 1 and 2. The flight crew announced that they only knew about the issues in Bologna when starting initial decent into BLQ. Sounds like there has been some coms issues generally. As we boarded, there were numerous flight cancellation announcements, AF, RAM, Aeroflot.
