Guess my Aug/Sept and Nov trips didn't have this when they UPG'd all flights at ticketing. I had heard about this back in February when I changed our HKG-LAX-JFK RT's to HKG-LAX RT. Fare desk said not necessary though I did have an unusal change fee amount, but just thought it was a fare difference as the fare was lower and I had a credit.
