Many of us are happy SFO based DL flyers. You just have to be OK flying codeshares or connecting in SEA or LAX. I personally think SEA is a better option for a layover right now given the lounge situation at LAX. I've lived here for several years now and have only been on UA twice. It can usually be avoided.
