Just spent 3 weeks traveling around Europe and then I landed at JFK I automatically felt at home. Was happy to be back where my deli guy knows what people wants when they walk through the door, where the crazy guy at my subway stop each and every morning with something to rant about but will shut up until the next train arrives for 50 cents and that my bartender's mother is visiting and brought me a gift. NYC is what you make of it. Artichoke is great but due to ingredients and popularity it's more expensive. Dining at most hotel restaurants is a no go for me but at a DoubleTree in /NYC it's a waste of time and money. In London I spent most of my time eating in pubs and some good restaurants but still had to stop by Nando's just for a taste of it.
