I flew the TG560 BKK-HAN just now in J. I had booked the ticket expecting a 787-8, and had selected a window seat on the basis of 2-2-2 expecting I'd need to catch some sleep after a gruelling midday flight from LHR - at that point the aircraft was listed as 777-200/300.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I stepped into the cabin and then realised that I had been reassigned to 12K on a 1-2-1 layout, a true window seat, on the 77W which is what I would have got had I chosen the evening flight from LHR.
The preset told me that it was actually going to be the 777-200 but they decided to switch as of this morning. I checked the flight history and it looks like they even used the A330 for some flights in recent weeks. So, one can get lucky being TGed (reverse TG??)
