I don't get it. KUL isn't like SIN, in that you arrive into the terminal, as far as I recall. You go through immigration. How are you supposed to get in to the terminal post-security?
As long as you don't clear immigration, then you can stay in the international terminal, provided you do not have luggage to retrieve as well.
