Or a more honest question: what happens to it if I run off to do a b2b? All flights are BA, one one ticket.

For ease, I’d like to check my hand luggage in, to arrive at T5 LHR, and collect it around 6 hours later after my domestic b2b.

Any advice? Will it disappear in to lost property (and then I’d have to pay to collect)? Should I pick it up and take it to a locker which I’ll have to pay for anyway? Some other clever idea?
