Saw your follow up post but personally disagree. These are tourist trap overpriced establishments with less than quality offerings (although many tourists seem to love it especially those from where I hail, America).

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had fun enjoying a meal at these places and the food isn’t bad, it’s just full of white water buffalo on vaca, offering decent food at high prices. It remains a fair option if one doesn’t have local friends to recommend local dining options and/or wants to try what the US based travel magazines and Travelocity recommend. Said venues, which in my experience are a great way to find places to avoid visiting. :-)
It's on the top of an office building and I was the only non-Japanese when I ate there, so I'm not sure how that qualifies as a tourist trap?

I went to Uchi last month which was also great if just for the novelty and is completely off the beaten path, yet was full of tourists during my meal.
