Security at Narita were diligent enough to check the small Lawson bag I was carrying. I wound up having a quick Hokkaido pudding snack in the middle of the inspection area, with smiling officials for encouragement.

Pro tip: If one's going to chance a few cups through, make sure to bring the spoon.
