I am confused. You are upset because, a) the gate was closed 2 min ahead, b) the flight was delayed by about 40 min, c) the crew chi- chatted, and d) coffee was not served on time (you are lucky service was not cancelled due to turbulence), and e0 one cup of coffee and never saw them.
Any reason why you didn't buy a cup of coffee and take it with you? usually, it takes a while to brew coffee during early morning flight, most passengers have to wait until seat belt sign is turned off and the service started. Did you ring and they didn't show up?
