michael_v, yes you would lose the 10k points every year if you downgrade. This is what the phone rep told me when I called in to ask for fee waiver. I too like others, have been getting fee waivers every ear for the last 4 yrs, but NOT THIS YEAR.. minimal spend.. so I plan on downgrading to the no AF card.
