Any info on why Hilton properties outside the U.S. offer such better breakfast to Gold/Diamond members than do those in the U.S.? I travel mostly international and get spoiled by full breakfasts, including made-to-order eggs and smoked salmon, at properties all over the world, while in the U.S. it's almost always meagre offerings in the lounge only, anything else at full cost or sometimes upcharge.
It's the same with upgrades and lounges, much better outside of North America. I wonder if part of it is that elite status is so easy to get in the US and not so much so in other countries so there are fewer golds and diamonds to provide benefits to.
