I think you mean benzodiazepine. (Benzodiazepam is a non-word-- a likely inadvertant combination of benzodiazepine, a class of drugs and diazepam, the generic for Valium). And one ought not combine them in most cases. But regular low-dose benzo users who are acclimated to their daily medication can drink on them in moderate amounts under medical supervision and it doesn't result in death. I don't recommend that benzo-naive patients go out and party on high-dose benzos and alcohol; in fact, I don't make any medical recommendations for that matter other than people operate under the supervision of their own medical professionals. I just wish to counter a death knell post with a counter-narrative that these things aren't all black and white.
And I don't think what pills people take with their wine should be any of UA's business.
