Bringing home frozen goods from Japan

Travelling to Japan almost every month, there are not many sweets that my familly and friends have not tasted from the land of the rising sun. But I always wondered if it was possible to bring home some of those delicious desserts.
I know most airlines allow dry ice in quantities not exceeding 2.5 kilograms per person. But how much would I actually need to bring home one of their famous puddings? We are talking about a 18 hour flight (transfer included).

Has anyone here brought home frozen delights?
I would like to hear some advice.
