I got the same offer. I was EXP until this year and I dropped off the face of the earth as far as AA is concerned (I have been flying AS and DL exclusively). They have offered me to buy back status 3 times, each time the offer kept getting slightly better. Then this arrived this morning. I'm definitely doing it. Status thru Jan 2020!! That's one hell of an offer.
