At GBP1800 per adult for the fare , even allowing an overnight in FRA before continuing onwards still leaves a huge saving - FRA-SYD on CI is one of the options I am looking at for that period - I have another , just tossing up which to do - but this is the same situation as would be in doing a flight to Oslo and then flying back on another ticket. Plus no chance of getting baggage checked through from origin , but there is a chance (depending on airline chosen for 1st sector ) of through baggage check when not returning to origin
