Our flight to JNB wsa changed from a 747 to a 380. And while the F seats are roomier on the 380 the cabin is nowhere near as nice.. It also meant that going to visit the kids & grandkids just upstairs in J was impossible because the enormous front stairs are never used (so I was told).
We have a 747 booked returning from JNB in October, I have no expectation that we'll actually sit in one.
How many 747s are left in the fleet now?
