I don't think that's how it works. The usual 10K bonus was posted as soon as $25K spend was reached. By the same token, 4K bonus should post as soon as $10K spend is reached (and if you later reach $25K - they can post the remaining 6K).
Today got another reply from Chase that gives the generic "points will post within 1 to 2 statements" reply, which is neither true nor meaningful.
I guess I can wait till early June, but annual fee is due at the end of the month and I need to cancel the card before that.
While your first sentence is how it
should work, I doubt it will work that way. I'd guess they'll provide the bonus shortly after June 1.
As for annual fee, has it been billed yet? You have until bill is due for the statement on which it posted (IIRC) to cancel and get it refunded.
