Just an update. No issues today with my flight Check in at the airport was a breeze. Also found out what I need to do to claim the compensation. Hope the rest of the flight goes well. Thanks for the replies Fully agree with the comment that Delta did not handle this well, but I felt Alitalia could also have handled it better. Any advice for what I should do different in the future is welcome. Thanks again.
