I don't know which part of the world you live in, but if it's not the UK then you might not be aware of the highly tribal nature of British newspaper readership, whereby some readers of certain newspapers despise certain other newspapers and, by extension, the people that read those newspapers. The Daily Mail and Guardian, being at opposite ends of the political spectrum, attract most of the hate, although it applies to almost all newspapers to some degree. I find it intolerant and tiresome (from whichever direction it comes), and I would prefer that FlyerTalk be kept free of such things, but that's probably wishful thinking.
