I'm not entirely sure what's going on with the seat map (I'd not be surprised if it was yet another IT fiasco but I've never come across anything like that before so I will give that one a miss) however, in answer to your question, the first few rows have indeed some extra inches in terms of legroom, nothing extraordinary yet still way better compared to a standard row past 10/11. Given the choice, I'd go for it.
