CIHY I think what they are saying is the locker was NOT secured (sounds like it was closed but not properly latched?) when cabin secure was given. OP only realised this after crew had sat down. After takeoff OP told a senior crewmember (not sure whether CSD or CSL) what had happened & they shrugged it off to the OP. I think that is accurate.
