For people living/working in Japan - Japan Post delivery notices (did not have one)
Hi all,
Firstly, if this is not supposed to be in here, kindly redirect me to the correct forum please, thanks!
For those who are currently living, working or studying in Japan, have you guys ever purchased online and have it delivered to your apartment? Usually if you are not at home, there would be a delivery notice slotted in by the postman.
So last week I purchased some items online and was given a tracking number. A few days later, the parcel was delivered to my local post office and thereafter, there were two lines of status that read "Attempted delivery".
I then went to the Japan Post website and entered the tracking number and there were also two lines of "ご不在のため持ち戻り" inserted in the log. That was seven days ago. If there was really an attempted delivery, I'd normally receive a delivery notice. However this time there was no delivery notice in my mailbox. I'm not very conversant in Japanese so I am not really confident to enquire at the post office. Was thinking if any one would know the reason for the postman not leaving a notice and what should I do next?
Thanks!
