Is ITH keeping the CRJ-200 service to/from DTW on DL? With DL eliminating use of its CRJ-200 fleet (operated by various DeltaConnection carriers), of course there's been some speculation about which airports will lose all DL service.

Perhaps part of the issue is that there's very decent nonstop bus service from Ithaca direct to NYC. For the price, people are probably deciding that this is overall more convenient that flying into EWR, depending of course on time of day and the part of NYC which is the destination. EWR of course would work well if Princeton or even Philadelphia (given that by air a connection is required IIRC) were the destination.

Obvious alternatives are other airports in upstate NY such as SYR which is slightly over an hour's drive and has much more service, including mainline service (but sadly no airport lounge). IIRC Binghamton and Elmyra (spelling?) still have commercial air service, albeit perhaps not on UA to EWR.
