Usually I book a suite upgrade several months in advance and never look back. But if closer to the date of the stay, if I know that hotel occupancy is quite low, can I remove my suite upgrade and keep the award for another stay? Most likely I would get upgraded to a suite anyway because of low occupancy and a Globalist will get a suite if available, hence the rationale for removing the suite upgrade award a few days before the stay. Have some of you done this before?
