A Las Vegas car rental has by default $6 a day in charges (Facility charge @ $4, Vehicle License @$2). There are 30.25% in additional taxes on the daily rate (sales tax, Clark County taxes, a government fee, rental center fee).

This is why I get multiple $50 Alamo certificates from Daily Getaways for $25 each, because applying them cuts the 30.25% you pay... For a four day rental I am paying 50.93 (plus the $50 I spent on the certificates). The absolute minimum I would be paying for a four day rental would be $24 because of the $6 a day...
