HEX upgrades are officially for GGL but golds have been known to take advantage.

As well as lounge access you can also select row one in CE and the excellent F wing at LHR is yours to use.
If you get a chance you can also use the CX lounge at T3.Other gold perks are mentioned on the relevant page on BA.com including some hotel promos.
