I'm surprised LGW is high on the list whereas LHR isn't even in the top 15. I guess that's a byproduct of scarce landing slots being allocated mostly to large jets? I still would have guessed Heathrow was in the Top 5.
At LHR there is a lot of overlap on routes with several airlines serving the same airports. LGW has large Easyjet and Ryanair presence plus random charter-esque holiday airlines such as TUI that operate to a range of bizarre destinations. A look at the departures or arrivals board at LGW can leave me scratching my head as to where some of these places are!
