We stayed here 2 months ago, I actually did some correspondence with the concierge regarding the fact this was our 40th wedding anniversary trip. Stayed 2 nights before our cruise.

I am Platinum, we arrived for a 3:30pm check in and were told we had been upgraded, we received a regular higher floor room with the view of an adjacent apartment building. In our room was a small chocolate brownie wishing us a happy anniversary written on the plate. I was expecting at least a city view although the brownie was a nice gesture...... but this didn't feel like an upgrade also we were to tired after flying from in from YYC to go back down and talk to FD about it.

After saying that we really enjoyed the hotel and lounge. The lounge was super busy but lots of good snacks and the wine selection was decent and free flowing, everyone we encountered was friendly and breakfast benefit in the restaurant was absolutely over the top. Location was great if you are a high end shopper. Lots of business types staying here.

I will definitely try the JW Marriott next time as the area is definitely better for our type of sightseeing and I love the Clarke Quay area.
