I called United's international reservations today to book a trip to Athens during the end of May and into early June 2005. I expected Lufthansa flights to come up as options but they only had Austrian Air. And it's not because the seats for the Lufthansa flights have already been taken. The United rep told me there are no Lufthansa flights at all on their system for next Spring and into the summer for some reason, but that she expects them to be available sometime later. Huh?? The flight plan I got on Austrian Air is actually very good, so I have no complaints there. The problem is that the taxes are insane ($150 per person). I was hoping for a Lufthansa flight with lower taxes. Any idea when the Lufthansa flights will be available on UA's Star Alliance system?
