I emailed the property about a potential upgrade (Platinum) for a stay I have upcoming. They said I had already been given a tower suite. To get Ocean View it would be an additional cost of $50/night or to get beach front it would be $180/night.

Based on previous comments, I was under the impression that an ocean view room was already only a one level upgrade from standard. Is this not correct? Not sure I want the tower room, from what I can tell that portion of the hotel is not yet renovated.
