If OS is actually deferring to UA, I would argue that UA's business class requirement should apply -- so you should get the allowance for a business class, no-status passenger.
OP: What charges are listed on your receipt?
I think that's right - it seems UA biz rules should apply as UA categorically states that it's the overwater segment that governs. Even without that, under United rules, I believe I should get three bags. Another poster was quite right when he wrote "They couldn't have made this more complicated if they tried." It seems to me that they DID try.
In any case, on my receipt there are no baggage charges listed on my receipt, just the fare and the usual alphabet soup of country and airport fees. The receipt lists out in a table that I get two bags at 32kg for free - but UA receipts never show more than 2 bags, even as a 1K flying in 3 class first.
