I think it really depends.

I was on CX711, a flight from Hong Kong to Singapore, in late March. My seat was at the last row of the Business Class Cabin (21A). After taking off, the Singaporean ISM came and greeted even I am only a Gold Member... During the pre-meal drinks service, the Senior Purser asked for my meal preference when offering me drinks. I asked him whether I could take a look at all the choices before making my decision. "Certainly," he answered.

During the main course service, after serving the main Business Class Cabin (Row 11-19), he, with his trolley, came to my row first and he showed me all the choices. After serving me, he went back to row 20 to continue with his service. (Noted that there was a Passenger in 21D but the purser simply ignored the passenger after serving me)

Furthermore, every time when I am in Cathay Dragon's Economy Class, the Flight Purser always come and greet me before take off. She will get me a bottle of water (Only Bonaqua is available on Cathay Dragon) if I ask for it.
