For miscons (until it changes), the staff at the gate will tell u exit baggage claim and then proceed to level 1 door 3 where a lady will be there to process the paperwork for u. You will have to find your own way there. Realised that there will be people who have difficulties finding as i have observed.
Completely different to my misconnect experience a month ago. They rebooked me also to the morning KULSIN flight, but accom was in the Sama Sama transit. All arranged through internal transit desk. Was your rebooking done in Penang or in KL?
Could be because it was a domestic-international connection. Mine was intl-intl.
