If I can't get an exit row, I go for 25B. It's a row of 2. You get off the plane last (or first if there is a rear stair). There isn't a window, but that suits me. Theoretical seating has given me both seats to myself the last few times. Just watch out for plane changes, got caught being too busy and stuck inside true 25b middle seat.
I looked at the 25's, and might give them a go. However I've flown my 4 BA flights now (and reached 600 tier points by flying QR), so I don't need to fly BA short haul for another couple of years. BA's seats give me numb-arse; I'm becoming an ABBA (Anything But British Airways) in order to avoid these deeply uncomfortable planes.
