An additional thought - do BA’s T&Cs differentiate between Member and Lifetime Member (what you have quoted only makes mention of Member).

Now my good sir, it is always good to read the T&Cs, or at least Flyertalk - this issue has come up before.

Correct, just do something to earn some Avios once a year and all will be well. It could be as simple as having a meal in a Starwood hotel and crediting it on to BAEC; or having one coffee a year in Caffè Nero, assuming you pre-registered. And assuming both schemes continue after their respective recently announced changes. Or, to make a radical suggestion, buying an airline ticket. In your case, though the automated Hilton earning to BA / IB has gone, you can still manually transfer Hilton points to BA or Iberia and then on to BAEC. Poor value for money, or excellent value for money if it avoids termination / death. The T&Cs talk about membership - being open, terminated or revoked. Within that ambit, there are different benefits of membership and different levels, but no, there isn't a separate T&C just for Lifetime Gold or GGL.

Hilton has something similar, it's 5 year for them, see clause 13.
