An additional thought - do BA’s T&Cs differentiate between Member and Lifetime Member (what you have quoted only makes mention of Member).
There doesn't seem to be any concept of a Lifetime Member. There is only the concept of a Member who can earn "Lifetime Status" (via "Lifetime Tier Points"). e.g. from the T&Cs (emphasis in definition mine)
"Lifetime Status"
means the Membership status obtained by the Member who earns the required number of Lifetime Tier Points as stated on Ba.com and that Member will retain such status for the duration of the Membership;
