I didn't say that. Just saying you can't ignore the call for help because you want to sleep/eat and not spend the flight assisting a pax in need.
My cousins wife recently flew SQ from SYD to SIN and helped an 'emergency': a drug mule was having a problem with the drug packets he had ingested and wanted that SQ divert back to Australia and not land in Indonesia or Singapore where possesion of drugs is a serious capital offense. Since she is also specialised in gastroenterology she took care of him and decided a diversion was not necessary and that they could continue till SIN. The thank you from SQ was some wet wipes to take care of the vomit on her clothes and an offer to spend the rest of the trip to SIN in business. When she said that her husband and son are in Y, they said that she should go back to her family.
Upon landing they took up the matter with someone in SIN before continuing to Europe. SQ a week later sent her two upgrade vouchers. Of course on the way back SQ would allow her to use it for the family, it seems they were personalised. So they went to waste.
