My first instinct is that you would definitely want transit security from some of the incoming flights from the, hmm, exotic destinations.
But knowing how "stringent" these security checks generally are, my second thought is that it won't make any difference anyway.
That would, however, make DXB quite unique (AFAIK0 in not having transit security at all for Int'l to Int'l transits.
