I am a frequent flyer on LY, I assisted sick passengers a few times. Every time I got a letter after the flight and 200 points (It's not like miles).
Once I as sited a passenger on LX and got nothing (they took my details and never contacted me)
OP - maybe send a note to the LH lurker.
