That is entirely correct. All airlines I know of say turn up according to the scheduled departure unless you are explicitly told otherwise.
So, can we say that the Red Message that appears in the App, sent by BA, of a delay, is ‘explicitly’ telling you ? Would be an interesting test case if the Op had a screen shot, as the App is used officially for everything else from scanning your boarding pass at security to boarding the plane, so why can we then ignore it as being ‘official’ when it tells you in big Red letters you have a 2 hour delay. Expected departure now 11:30 in this case.
