Just a few things come to mind:

On German aircraft German law applies which stupilates
- persons helping/assisting in an emergency cannot be proscecuted for any mistakes they may make
- the person being helped cannot bring a civil lawsuit against the helper for any damages caused by helping
- a person who is qualified to help (RN, MD, etc) but declines to help can be prosecuted for failing to assist

Also LH has a libability insurance to cover any costs occured, it is strange the crew didn't file a report and even stranger asia15 got such a reply.
