Last (northern hemisphere) summer I was very impressed by alcohol prices and selection at the duty free store inside AKL. Converted into my USD budget, booze prices there were excellent. Don't know if that has changed given the significantly different exchange rate enivronment now. My big regret was that I couldn't stock up on vodka and Scotch ex-AKL as I was enroute to Australia before heading back to the states and already planning to bring several "souvenirs" back to the U.S. from the Hunter Valley. One man can only carry on so much alcohol after all!

For those nearer to this part of the world, a friend recently reported that int'l brand spirits are dirt cheap in USD terms in Jamaica right now.
