Honestly I am really shocked about all.
First, my collegue and I avoided the emergency landing that the flight probably had to make without us.
Second, I think that assist a passegner on a plane it's really hard: we were on the ground, without light, with language problem (passenger sick was chinese and no english spoken) and with light turbolence. You are not in hospital, you are alone and without a laboratory or any strument.
Third, I didn't sleep, I loose one day of holidays, I worked on a plane for 5 hours, during the night. LH didn't make an emergency landing and keep a lot of money.
Last: you are without insurance, so if you do something wrong, maybe due an improvvise turbolence, what's happens?
The captain told me that we will be contacted by LH for a rewards, then nothing. I wrote to the customer relation that we spent all time with the sick passenger, avoided an emergency landing, didn't sleep and we didnt' had neither breakfast because no one told us it was breakfast time and we were behind the curtains.
They reply that, and as they wrote to me I write here because it's too shameful to not quote
"Please note that food and beverages were accessible for you all the time" so you had just to leave the sick passenger and go to eat.
The insane shame of this is that they didnt' stop to write here. The guy replied to me also wrote that "LH employees gived a gift on board for your medical support. Kindly allow us to point out that this was a gesture of appreciation by our employees" as it was not in the name of the company, it was a plus. It was a bottle of wine of 10 euro.
I also think that if LH gave us a voucher or an waiting list upgrade, we would more interested to buy another ticket with them, and they would be sure to have a doctor aboard at no cost for them. They would made a better rappresentation. They are just arrogant and stingy like no other.
For the future, I think a lot of doctors will not assist any people aboard, since the risk is too high, it's too difficult do anything and then you didn't neither got a thanks. The problem for everyone will be when there will be a real emergency on board, where the presence of a physician will make the difference between life and death. We must be lucky enough to have a doctor who has not previously been treated like that.
