Sorry forgot to reply after my journey.

in the end I had to fly home earlier and instead got the 10.55 Gatwick flight.

i got to the airport a tad too early and was bit peeved that they would not allow bag drop until 2hrs 30mins before the scheduled departure so a loyal of hanging around departures ensured.

security was a complete shambles compared to Heathrow T5. The queue was enormous with staff shoutIng at passengers and then getting irate when they didn’t understand Dutch. I was only the one out of a large queue that was asked to remove my shoes and then still had a full pad down after the scanning. Then after getting though passport control it was just a complete crush fest. No room whatsoever and certainly made me wish I hadn’t traveled through schiphol.
