That's a no-brainer, except that there's just too many "unknowns" for me, being new to JQ. Otherwise there's the JQ premium economy (i.e., what they call "business") for $979 US versus true business on QF for $3,500!! So, I'm rationalizing the big purchase I just made by considering that the $979 premium economy tickets are still a relatively good value (since there's NO way I'm spending $3,500x3 on QF biz!!). I hope I still think so after I've completed the flight!
Comparing JQ HNL-MEL vs QF HNL-SYD-MEL in economy?
It is PITA to change from international to domestic terminals at SYD, especially with a 3 year old in tow. Its a 3km bus trip T1 to T3. I pay extra money to avoid that SYD transfer.
That you got JQ faux business (=premium economy) for a little money than QF via SYD is good. A good choice.
