Thanks mate. Correct - it is a relatively small amount of cash for two reasons:
1. Some transactions I intend to make will be cash only
2. None of my debit cards has a fee-free transaction policy so cash is probably better overall.

Plus, the relatively small amount means a difference in rate due to using AMEX will be negligible in terms of actual cash anyway.
