Grand Hyatt Bali - January 2018 - Rooms + Gym
Background:
I booked a advance purchase rate for 5 nights at the Grand Hyatt Bali. I arrived in the evening and was led to the Grand Club for check-in. I think I used a Diamond Suite Upgrade voucher beforehand and was upgraded to a suite. I was escorted to the suite in one of the wings near the Grand Club.
Welcome drink:
Club Executive Suite King:
There is only one photo on the Hyatt website but I think this is the category of room I was upgraded to.
Grand Executive Suite King:
On the first night, there was a group of vile, very noisy Australians two floors below who wouldn't shut up (one girl's voice was so loud no one in the group could hear the shouting from 2 other guests across the courtyard). I phoned the front desk that night and complained the morning after. The group had booked a few rooms and would be at the property for a couple of nights. I was offered another a Grand Suite King close to the Grand Club or a Grand Executive Suite King which was a bit of a walk away (but nearer the gym). I opted for the latter and it was a kind gesture by the management.
Gym:
The gym is decent with good equipment. The air conditioning is weak and not helped due to the open door policy. It was not busy when I used it.
There are two squash courts:
Gym pool and Jacuzzi:
